What is Sustaining Support?
Oracle offers three tiers of support – premier, extended, and sustaining – which are dependent upon the version release date. Learn more about Oracle software technical support policies here.
Sustaining support is the least comprehensive support option of the bunch and does not cover new updates, fixes, security alerts, or critical patches and updates. It also does not cover new tax, legal, and regulatory updates. This can lead to system outages, cyber attacks, compliance issues, underperformed instances, and a plethora of other challenges.
