Established in 2018, Hudson Homes was launched as a new business entity under its parent company, Hudson Advisors. As this was initially more of an exploratory venture, the Hudson Advisors team was hesitant to invest in significant on-prem, in-house IT infrastructure and costs.
At the time of Hudson Advisors’ engagement of Buchanan for the new business startup, the office was opened for 40 employees in one large space as a stand-alone simple operation that was completely cloud-based.
However, the Hudson Homes business unit became very successful and quickly grew to over 200 employees in three separate offices over the course of 14 months. As growth continued to occur during the COVID-19 pandemic, some process changes were required to allow for the provisioning and deployment of equipment to new employees as well as remote onboarding.
“To support this growth, we wanted to engage with a vendor partner well-versed in cloud solutions and capable of providing comprehensive IT services, from engineering to security to end user support and beyond,” said Luis Gonzalez, Vice President of Service Delivery for Hudson Advisors.
