Toronto, Ontario — Canada — February 17, 2014 — Buchanan Technologies, a leading Microsoft Lync Implementation and PLSP partner, is excited to announce that its Microsoft Lync Practice Manager and Lync MVP Ken Lasko will be presenting at the Lync Conference 2014 in Las Vegas.

During the conference, Ken will be hosting and presenting at one of the many technical breakout sessions geared for Lync professionals and IT organizations evaluating Lync as an enterprise voice and unified communications solution. Ken’s topic on Enterprise Voice Best Practices will cover many of the nuances behind configuring and deploying a successful Lync voice solution.

“Setting up Lync for enterprise voice is a big project, even for seasoned Lync experts,” said Ken. “The interplay between dial plans, voice policies, routes, PSTN usages, and trunk translation rules can make it complicated and difficult to figure out how to get started. Enterprise Voice Best Practices is really a deep dive in why you should configure and deploy Lync a certain way; it’s really a presentation on a successful methodology that we utilize with every Buchanan client.”

Ken got his start with Microsoft Lync when it was still OCS in 2007. As Lync 2010 gained momentum as an enterprise voice solution, Ken was already well versed in the technology. But he continued to immerse himself in Lync, taking his knowledge and expertise to the next level.

As a result, Ken has helped to grow and shape Buchanan Technologies’ Lync capabilities and practice, not only from a design and deployment solution, but into managed services and end-user training and support. He has also helped Buchanan Technologies earn the highly sought after Premier Lync Support Partnership from Microsoft.

“Ken has built an amazing reputation as an industry recognized Lync MVP,” said Stephen Sweett, President of Buchanan Technologies. “We are pleased that Microsoft has asked Ken to present at this year’s conference.”

When asked about what he expects to take away from attending and presenting at the conference, Ken said, “I’m really looking forward to seeing my Lync colleagues present at the conference. Microsoft has invited the leading minds in Lync to present this year, so it should be a really great learning experience. I am also looking forward to seeing some the new hardware that’s coming on the market.”

If you are attending the conference and you would like to learn more about Enterprise Voice Best Practices, Ken’s presentation is on Tuesday, February 18th from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM or Thursday, February 20th from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM in the Copperleaf 1 Room.
