On August 18, 2006, Buchanan Associates attended the Tech Titans Award ceremony presented by The Metroplex Technology Business Council ® (MTBC) at the Fairmont Hotel Dallas. Jim Buchanan, CEO of Buchanan Associates, was nominated for the Corporate CEO of the Year award which recognizes CEO leadership within the technology and communications industry for companies with more than 100 employees. Also nominated were Michelle Peluso, President and CEO of Travelocity, Stephen Mittelstet, President of Richland College, and Scott Walker, President and CEO of BillMatrix Corp. Mr. Buchanan received Honorable Mention recognition with the CEO award going to Mrs. Peluso of Travelocity.
In addition, Buchanan Associates was ranked #4 in the Fastest Growing Metroplex High-Tech Companies category. Buchanan Associates experienced a revenue growth of 31% in 2005.
The Tech Titans Awards were launched in 2001 by the Metroplex Technology Business Council, North Texas’ most comprehensive organization supporting technology. The prestigious annual contest recognizes outstanding information technology companies and individuals in the North Texas area who have made contributions during the past year locally, as well as to the technology industry overall. The Tech Titans committee is a group of dedicated volunteers that organizes the awards ceremony each year, and judges for the contest are drawn from a variety of disciplines in technology, leaders in the DFW area and past winners.*
