Buchanan Associates Celebrates their 10th Year of Operations in the Wichita Region
WICHITA, KS (5/26/2008)
We are celebrating our 10th year of operations in the Wichita region this year, and continue to have a strong presence within the Energy industry. ICM has 10 full-time positions supporting the Information Service Department in numerous roles, along with Frontier Oil and Gas, staffed at 4 full-time positions engaged in Help Desk Management.
As we began planning for the year, our region is focusing on three areas of growth. In the government sector, our team has been busy engaging and learning the Request for Proposal/Bid process for the State of Kansas, Sedgwick County and City of Wichita and our first proposal was submitted to the State of Kansas in early April. Small to mid-size business continues to be a strong source of revenue for our region where we support companies who need assistance on higher end and special project work. We are assisting our existing customer base with new technologies and plan to engage BA's new managed service model within our region. With Enterprise Resource Planning implementations, BA is seeing success as we partner with Tectura as a subcontractor to assist in additional ERP projects. Recently, we completed our first engagement with a customer in California.
Along with our revenue growth concentration, BA Wichita is diligently working on cross-training our current staff with the methodologies that have been proven successes in other areas of Buchanan, such as the Century Project Management process. We are continually focused to upgrade the skill sets within our staff. Several employees have recently received certifications such as, Mike Spellman - Nav Developer I certification, Stephen Yops - MCSE with security specialization, and Gary Powers - Microsoft SQL Server 2005 certification.
